来自北京的儿科医生冯燕 (Yan Feng，音译)，刚出价230万元在哈林汉密尔顿高地 (Hamilton Heights)的Convent Avenue买了一栋连栋房屋(townhouse)，这个价钱比标价高10万元。哈林区在西125街的闹区。(Getty Images)「华尔街日报」报导，冯燕和任职证券律师的丈夫史丹利．查(Stanley Cha，音译)开始在同一地段找第二栋连栋屋，用来招呼北京来的朋友，他们同时在这一区寻找商业投资机会。
这栋20尺宽的砖墙屋，是哈林房地产市场最近复苏的交易之一。随著金融危机最严重的时刻过后，一世纪之久的连栋房屋和新建的共有公寓，同样吸引新买家。
哈林的房市经过长期淡静后，连栋房屋的销售回升，成交价在230万元至285万元之间，这是2009年春季以来的最高价钱。
这栋2007年以来成交价最贵的一家庭连栋屋，于9月30日成交。
房 地产公司Halstead Development Marketing的总裁克利格曼(Stephen Kliegerman)说，西122街夹Morningside Avenue的一栋12 层高大厦88 Morningside，销售特别强劲。该大厦吸引不同买家，当中有些来自中国。
他说，Frederick Douglass Boulevard的Gateway Tower，也同样受欢迎。这栋七层高的共有公寓大厦有55单位，4月上市。
88 Morningside的两卧室和三卧室的公寓已售罄，现仅剩下一卧室公寓。总括来说，该大厦的73个单位，超过60%已出售。
�燕夫妇在Convent Avenue新购的房屋，前房主是著名低音爵士乐手亚伦．贝尔 (Aaron Bell)的儿子拉希米．贝尔 (Rhahime Bell)，他在2001年这一地区房价开始翻身时，以77万5000元买了这房子。
他修葺这栋房屋，并在2006年房市蓬勃时，上市求售，索价435万元。但今年6月，他透过房产公司Prudential Douglas Elliman的经纪菲利普斯 (Brian Phillips)找买家，仅索价220万元。
当时，打算第二度置业的冯燕和她丈夫，正留意曼哈坦上西城河边大道(Riverside Boulevard)新建的玻璃幕墙公寓大厦Aldyn。夫妇二人都在美国留学，同时持有中国和美国的国籍。
正当他们即将签约购买Aldyn一个公寓时，冯燕问经纪陈静 (Jing Chen，译音)住在哪里里。
不久，夫妇二人到汉密尔顿高地探访陈静，之后要求对方为他们找一栋类似的房屋。他们第一次想买另一栋连栋屋，竞标失败，所以决定第二次「出高价」。
