我们的教育如何腐蚀"共和国的朝阳"
（中国教育问题之六）

新世纪的今天，稍微有点理性的中国人都深刻认识到：
中国的教育出了大问题！
教育是国家民族的灵魂。
一个国家最大的落后是教育的落后；最大的贫困是教育的贫困；最大的问题是教育的问题！
经济的落后只造成短期的危害，只要体制一变经济就会很快搞上去；但教育落后的危害是长期的，不但这一代人付出代价，还会殃及到有可能接受理性教育的下一代。
一代人的教育出了问题，对共和国的负面影响至少要延续一个世纪！
所以一个国家的社会政治生活在一定时期内可以出各种各样的问题，但教育千万不能出问题，尤其不能出大问题！
可我们的教育出了大问题，正在潜移默化地腐蚀共和国的年轻一代。
下面我们来列举几例教育界普遍存在的灵魂腐蚀剂，看"共和国的朝阳"是怎样在学校被腐蚀的。
（一）、弄虚作假：今年武汉市新洲区某中学为应付上面的普九检查，竟然把一个班的学生转移到这个镇的小学上课，以便把这个班的教室腾出来用于普九要求的教学设备用房，等检查过后再恢复原状。因为预定的检查时间推迟，原定一个月的异地上课时间延迟到三个月以上，终于让"少数"学生家长的忍耐达到了极限，把这件事捅到了新闻媒体，《楚天都市报》对此事作了很低调的报导……
我们学生家长的"忍"功也真够让人"敬佩"的，对学校单方面决定把他们上中学的孩子转移到小学上课居然能够"理解并接受"，直到这种"转移"没完没了且显然看不到终点时，才有少数几个"富有责任心"的家长表达了自己的困惑和不满。可"不理解"又能怎样呢？类似的弄虚作假现象他们早就司空见惯了，不少学校的所作所为还有过之而无不及……
我家乡那个县唯一的一所重点高中为了"提高"升学率，把二年级成绩好的学生调去参加"高考"。因为高二已上完了高中的全部课程，天份高的学生很容易考出一个较好的成绩。那些考出一个"好分数"的学生大多没有"上大学"的意向，下一个学年依旧上高三。他们参与"高考"的唯一功能就是"提高"这所"重点高中"的"高考升学率"。类似的作法已经持续了十年以上，并且还会继续持续下去……
学校带普遍性的"弄虚作假"不但影响了当前的教学质量，更重要的是给学生提供了一个极为有害的行为样板，败坏了学生的品格。从那些习惯于"弄虚作假"的学校出来的学生，自然把"弄虚作假"作为人生的信条，并因此指导自己的人生。
我们这一代人的"弄虚作假"已经引起了全人类的震惊，并给中华民族带来了深重的灾难。我们的学校似乎还要把这一中国特色的"光荣传统"发扬光大地传给下一代，让中华民族的苦难继续下去。
（二）、行贿受贿：我们上中学时，只有教师用自己的工资为成绩好的贫困学生买作业本的事，从没听说过那个学生给教师送礼。今天学生家长给老师送高档烟酒甚至"红包"已经成为带有普遍性的社会景观，尤其是重点中小学师生之间"送礼受礼"现象尤为严重。部分教师还"别出心裁"地向学生索贿，当某学生家长没有送礼或礼品价值低于期望值时，就在安排坐位或宿舍时给予明显的歧视性待遇，如把个子矮或视力不好的学生编到教室的后排角落。等到学生回去找父母诉苦，父母晚上拎着礼品找上班主任家门时，他的坐位才有可能向前移动……索贿的老师尽管是少数，但在学生中造成的影响极坏，学生不可避免地把"行贿受贿"当成生活的"经典"之一，习惯于用"行贿受贿"来解决工作生活中遇到的难题。
（三）、狭隘自私：上世纪八十年代，有相当多的大学生把报效国家、社会，追求文明作为自己的奋斗目标，并为此作出了巨大的努力。今天的大学生如果还有人把服务国家、社会当回事的话，其比例肯定大为缩小。你别看他们很容易被亦真亦幻的倾向性新闻煽动起来走上街头举行反美排日大游行，这种不需要付出代价的"爱国"行为，如果有时间且条件允许的话，一般人都容易做到。但真正的爱国行为是需要付出艰苦努力的，当爱国需要坚持不懈地长时间付出才能看到成效，且有可能招致社会邪恶势力围攻之危险时，还有几个大学生会在爱国的道路上坚定不移地走下去？当国家民族的利益和自身利益相冲突，需要"爱国者"自我牺牲时，有几个大学生在不可能成为"英雄人物"的情况下肯为了国家民族牺牲自己的眼前利益？
上世纪八十年代的大学生人生目标大多很"天真"，国家富强、民族振兴和社会的文明进步是他们心灵深处不易消逝的梦，一有机会就会为这个梦想付出自己的心血甚至生命。今天的大学生人生之路很"实在"，大多从"国家、民族"这类虚幻的蓝图回归到实实在在的"自我"，追求自身社会地位的上升和生活条件的改善成为绝大多数大学生努力的方向，为了追求"房子、女子、票子、位子"可以置最基本的人格尊严于不顾。今天不少重点大学的校门口一到太阳下山时就停放了不少豪华小轿车。这些小轿车是干什么的相信校方也清楚。"女大学生"曾经是一个神圣且不容玷污的名词，可今天的部分女大学生为了金钱可以做"土肥佬"的地下情人，甚至不惜作"三陪"？
"实在"应该是一件好事，和"天真"相比最起码显得"成熟"一些。可今天大学生的"实在"却令我忧心忡忡，横想竖想也无法和"成熟"这个褒义词联系起来；相反到让我想起了"狭隘自私"这个贬义词。诚然，今天部分大学生的"实在"实则是"狭隘自私"的同义词，这些人只看得见自己眼前的急功近利；对与自身长远利益密切相关的国家民族利益则视而不见。
大学生为何会成为"狭隘自私"的一代呢？最根本的原因还是我们的教育体制有缺陷。从小学到大学，我们鼓励学生努力学习的方式就与学生未来有可能获取的最大利益联系在一起，"如果你成绩好就会如何如何……"部分学校在"创收"时体现的自私自利也为学生作了最为生动的垂范。在这样的教育体制下成长起来的学生，要想不"狭隘自私"还真的很难。
人一旦走向"狭隘自私"，就会缺少最基本的社会责任心。今天的大学生社会责任心和上世纪八十年代相比无疑差得太远，没有社会责任心的个体对社会是很难有什么益处的
（四）、拜金主义：大学本来是学知识做学问的地方，可今天的中国大学却越来越远离这一主要目标，越来越象"做生意"的市场。校方的主要功能不是教授知识传授技能启迪智慧孕育思想；而是巧立名目"创收"。学生的主要目的不是做学问，而是在校找份生意作和毕业找份好工作。不少学生在校期间很少上课，而是去某些部门兼职捞外快，最差劲的也要找份"家教"挣点零花钱。那些受人尊敬的学生不是认真学习刻苦做学问的优等生；而是"有板眼"挣钱的"学生大款"。教授们对那些有本事挣钱的学生一样情有独钟，因为这类学生使他们的生活上了一个新台阶，他们的好烟好酒大都是这类学生孝敬的。作为回报，教授们也投桃报李给那些忙于生意没时间修完学业的大学生一个好分数，让他们顺行地拿到毕业证，甚至于想方设法让他们继续读研。教授如果希望某位学生成为他的研究生，哪怕这个学生的知识比高中还要后退一大步，也一定有能力能够让他"考上"研究生。
今天的研究生考试不在于学问的高低；而在于你和硕导、博导的私人关系；这类关系多半是由金钱培植并靠金钱维持的。因为主要的专业科目由导师出题和阅卷，和导师关系好者就可事先得到他的"意向性辅导"，等于是事先把考题告诉他，在阅卷时又能得到最好的"感情分数"。这样考生只要通过国家统考科目的"底线分"，专业科目考试肯定能够得一个好的分数。就算统考科目没有通过，导师也一样有办法让拥有"创收潜力"和"领导关系"的学生就读他的研究生。英美教授把自己的学位看得比什么都神圣，不会让"金钱"和"领导"来腐蚀自己的"学位"。我们的教授只有很少一部分拥有不可侵犯的"学位尊严"；绝大多数则沾染了"中国特色"。
上世纪八十年代初期，大学对来自各阶层的大学生一视同仁，高干子弟和农民的儿子同住一间宿舍，在同一个学生食堂就餐，待遇上没有任何差别。那时的电影《女大学生宿舍》就真实地再现了这一"众生平等"的背景。今天的大学对有钱有势的学生则青眼有加，专门为"富人子弟"开辟了"生活特区"，在食宿娱乐上给予了力所能及的关照。一个传播知识追求自由平等的文化殿堂，居然堂而皇之地出现了"贵族公寓"，大学师生居然一点也不感到意外，可见我们的大学已经被金钱腐蚀到什么程度？大学的价值取向应该是知识的多寡和学问的高低，而不是钱的多少和官的大小。这里只认知识学问，不认学生的出身和含金量，你想斗富摆谱就到外面去，别弄脏了大学的空气。可我们的大学居然自行把校园的空气弄脏，好与外面的花花世界"接轨"？！
因为大学对有钱学生的偏爱，学生崇尚"拜金主义"也就顺理成章了。今天的大学生对金钱的热情让某些教授大摇其头，不自禁地抱怨"世风日下"，但转念一想，他们难道不是始作甬者吗？
（五）、急功近利：中学教育不仅仅是给学生灌输现成的知识，更重要的是培养学生学习的方法，思考的习惯，健康的人生品味和有益于社会的价值取向。可今天的中学普遍实行急功近利的教育方针，把"分数"和"升学率"置于重中之中。中学生只要能考出一个好的分数，就算在其他方面一无是处，甚至于生活不能自理，都能被老师和家长视为宠儿。老师和家长一再向学生强调"成绩好"的美妙远景：只要考出一个好分数，才能上一所好大学，比业后才能找一份好工作，房子、妻子、票子、位子就会纷至沓来，再稍稍努力一下就能出人头地，做人上之人……如果考不上一所好大学，你就是再努力再吃苦也是白搭。
如此急功近利的说教，要想学生在以后的人生中不急功近利那真是活见鬼了。我们的民族曾因急功近利的行为模式吃过大亏，可我们的教育依旧培养出急功近利的国民？我们的民族难道又要在同一个坑里跌倒吗？
（六）、"官本位"价值观："官本位"文化是中华文明的最大污点，也是我们国家在近现代大踏步后退的根本原因所在。教育是国家的千秋大计，我们的国家要想在"不远的将来"跻身于文明富强的现代化国家行列，首先必须在教育界铲除"官本位"文化这一危害中华民族的最大毒素，可实际情况怎样呢？
我的一位儿时旧友是一所县级重点中学的骨干教师，他的妻子则在乡下的一所中学执教。为了把妻子调进城，他跑了很多关系送了上万元的烟酒都无济于事。无奈之余他只好去找学校的领导，请求在新学期开学时给他们班分一个有"特殊背景"的学生。为了让他安下心来教书，校领导满足了他的请求，把副县长的独生子分到他执教的那个班。他的问题也很快迎刃而解，不出一月妻子就调进了他所在的重点中学。
我的朋友是知恩必报的，为了报答副县长的厚恩，对他的儿子可谓操碎了心，连自家的亲生儿子也没让他如此操心过。为了把县长儿子的成绩搞上去，他没少给这位少爷"开小灶"。可县长儿子着实不争气，无论他怎样沤心沥血地辅导他，他的成绩仍没有任何起色，甚至于有每况逾下的趋势。为了给副县长一个好的交待，他只好说服其他几位主课老师，在判卷时尽可能给这位少爷加"感情分"，使他能在班上保持中等偏上的成绩。他的作法班上的学生了如指掌，因为那位少爷为了在同学面前摆谱耍威风，丝毫也不掩饰班主任对他的偏爱。这位少爷也不是聪明的主，在同学面前威风八面，经常欺负那些出身贫寒的同学，一旦发生争执朋友总是坚定地站在县长儿子那一边，学生对他的不满也因此可想而知。
县长儿子的不争气也着实有点过份，高考只考了不到两百分，成绩全班倒数第一，可他照样上了一所重点大学，比他分数高得多的同学则加入了打工仔的队伍。
类似的现象在今天的学校具有普遍性，官僚子弟，无论他们的成绩品德如何，在学校都会成为"抢手货"。就算没有妻子要调动，也可求学生爸爸利用职权给予其他的方便。"官本位"文化就这样在本应干净圣洁的校园结出了令人伤心的"怪胎"。
有了一个当官的爸爸，在校胡作非为有人为他挣腰，不学无术照样上重点大学……难怪学生经常感慨"学好数理化，不如有个当官的好爸爸"了。从这样的学校出来的学生，毕业后自然把当官当成最好的出路和最高奋斗目标。今天的大学毕业生一窝蜂报考公务员就是我们的教育培植"官本位"价值观的生动写照。
前两年我们单位新分来一位大学生，一年到头几乎不读一本书，工作上既无任何主见，也不能独当一面,就知一门心思和领导套近乎，差不多每天都要去局长家走一趟，勇于作领导家庭的义务勤杂工并乐此不疲。功夫不负有心人，他的职位很快得到了升迁，并且还会继续升下去。这样的大学生确然机灵精明，但除了会搞关系投机钻营外没任何真本事，对国家社会一点益处也没有，并且随着地位的上升其危害也越来越大。类似的现象在今天的社会几乎具有普遍性，大学生毕业后拍马屁的热情远远大于学习工作的热情。我们的教育居然培养出这样的大学生？实在令人幽默不起来。
大学生都想着升官发财，我们的民族向何处？
（七）、言行不一、分裂人格：社会上流传的一则关于老师的笑话很有意思：说的是一位政治老师晚上打了一个通宵的麻将，直到上课铃响时才行色匆匆地赶到教室上政治课。那天本来是上"国际关系"课程，此公因为过于疲劳记不起讲课的内容，就随机应变对学生大讲"五讲四美"，在强调学生"讲文明、讲礼貌、讲卫生、讲秩序、讲道德"，做到"心灵美、语言美、行为美、环境美"的同时；还要求学生"讲学习、讲品德、讲风格、讲正气"，努力做一个有益于国家社会的新人。然后又对社会上流行的不正之风大加挞伐，大骂请客送礼风、行贿受贿风和抹牌赌博风，说什么全民赌博迟早会把这个国家赌到万丈深渊里去。讲这些内容时他的脸上始终绽放出嫉恶如仇义愤填膺的豪壮表情。这时他发现坐在后排的一个爱上通宵网的学生在座位上掺瞌睡，就一粉笔头砸醒了对方，声色俱厉地怒斥道："你的眼睛一到晚上就是'两饼'，一到白天就成了'两条'……"(两饼、两条都是麻将术语)
如此言行不一的现象在社会上早已司空见惯，贪官在台上大讲廉政建设早就不是什么新闻了。但这种现象最好不要带到校园里去，否则会毒害整整一代中国新人。如果让学生也学会了言行不一，习惯了台上一套台下一套的分裂人格，我们的民族可就真个离文明进步的目标越来越遥远了。
去年初夏去塔克拉玛干沙漠探险，每天清晨醒来时都盼着看旭日东升，可等到太阳真个从地平线升上来时，心底又升腾起无限的伤感。因为沙漠的旭日与落日给人视觉上的感观极为相似，我也因此从朝阳中经常品味出夕阳的韵致，甚至于分不清眼前闪烁的是朝阳还是夕阳……
年轻人应该是"共和国的朝阳"，千万不能过早现出"夕阳"的暮气，因为我们的共和国是青山绿水而不是莽莽黄沙。

倪萍们"共和国脊梁奖"暴光后，我连续写了三篇《倪萍印象》(之一、二、三)，批评倪萍后接着又反躬自问："我"有脊梁吗?"我们"有脊梁吗?谁敢说自己比倪萍更有道德优越感?如今，知识分子已经从人们尊敬的对象变成了人们嘲讽的靶子，"专家"已被大家讥讽为"砖家"，"教授"更被人们骂为"叫兽"。要是能看到大学里评职称时，读书人的卑微态度;要是了解每年评奖时，教授们到处求人的样子;要是得知为了争取到重大课题，很多斯文教授到处行贿的丑态;要是清楚教授和专家的许多论文，常常只是在为长官意志进行论证和辩护，我想社会大众更要向专家们脸上吐口水，更要朝教授们头上撒尿。包括我本人在内的很多"教授""专家"，真的不值得社会大众尊敬，甚至我自己也瞧不起自己!
不过，中国知识分子绝非从来如此。很多知识分子在一九四九以前都有款有形有血有肉有棱有角，为人风骨凛然，说话掷地有声。想想刘文典面对蒋介石的傲气，想想张奚若在国民参政会上詈骂蒋介石独裁的刚烈，想想章太炎、黄侃师弟的狂傲，想想傅斯年骂倒孔祥熙和宋子文两任行政院长的勇敢，比起当年陶渊明"不为五斗米折腰"还有过之而无不及，这些"民国范儿"真让读书人气畅神旺!可是，绝大部分人一九四九年后，突然好像全都一夜抽去了脊梁，郭沫若先生的丑恶表演就不用说了，连潘光旦先生这样的硬汉也低下了高贵的头，连冯友兰先生这样"新儒学"的代表人物，也对儒家创始人孔子破口大骂。
1951年全国"知识分子思想改造运动"，其实就是让所有读书人自己当众打自己的耳光，自己当众吃下自己拉的屎喝自己撒的尿。潘光旦先生接二连三地写了十二次检讨，还在报纸上发表了上万字的长篇自我批判文章——《为什么仇美仇不起来》，把自己的父母、师长、同学、教育和科研逐一否定，完全是在当众自己打自己的嘴巴。想当年，潘光旦是民国时期的独腿硬汉，历任清华和西南联大教务长，从来不向权贵低头，从来不向命运服软，可是1949年后彻底否定自己，不断自轻自贱，不断自打嘴巴，那一幅卑微、顺从的模样让人不敢相信这就是昔日的潘光旦。潘光旦先生还只是求自己蒙混过关，更有不少人甘当当局的"密探"，不少人出卖自己的师长，很多人以为虎作伥为荣，这六七十年整个知识界真是斯文扫地，满地鸡毛!比起那些卖友求荣卖师求官的小丑，潘光旦先生算是一位求饶但不害人的君子，可是，他当众掌嘴还是无人领情，一九五七年照样被打成右派，文化大革命中照样被打成"牛鬼蛇神"，在文化大革命中，他对好友叶笃义介绍了自己的 "三S"求生经验——"Surrender(投降)、Submit(屈从)、Survive(生存)"，最后发现想做屈从的奴隶也没法活命的时候，他又补上"一个S"——"Succumb(毁灭)"。晚年以"三S"作为自己的生存策略，哪知道"投降""屈从"还没有人接受，真像鲁迅先生说的那样"求当奴隶而不可得"，"Survive(生存)"无望，就不得不走向"Succumb(毁灭)"。当奴隶的资格也被剥夺，潘先生死得没有半点尊严。
是什么原因让民国时期的硬汉，变成甘愿"Submit(屈从)"以求"Survive(生存)"的熊包?为什么当年敢当面大骂蒋介石独裁，四九年以后"乐于"唾面自干?过去把面子看得比生命还重的知识精英，后来却活得如猪似狗没有一点"人"样?
从1951年 "知识分子思想改造运动"开始一直延续了几十年的社会运动，第一步是让所有知识分子觉得自己毫无价值可言，过去学的知识全部是人类垃圾，而且知识越多越反动，知识分子不管是真心还是假意，他们都承认自己既"肮脏"又"无能"，对那个被神化的"伟大导师""伟大领袖""伟大统帅"心悦诚服;第二步就是摧毁知识分子的意志，让他们都以长官的意志为自己的意志;第三步就是羞辱知识分子的人格，让他们不断自我检讨自我批判，自己把自己整得灰头土脸;第四步是给他们诱以利饵，用官用钱用职称用课题来笼络他们，让他们像狗一样吃嗟来之食，于是就出现了目前这种"重赏之下必有懦夫"的局面。任何一个人要是自己也觉得自己百无一能——既没有价值，又没有意志，更没有人格，一定会自己极度鄙视自己。像潘光旦先生这样的硬汉，最后以"投降"、"屈从"为手段，以"生存"为人生目标，在这六七十年中肯定不是一个个案和特例。他们活得非常屈辱，死得也非常窝囊，还谈什么气度，还谈什么风骨，还谈什么高傲!
读书人毕竟也是人，谁都不是特殊材料做成的，大多数人在面临死亡的时候，首先想到的是自己如何活命，想到的是如何保护家人的安全，比起自己和家人的生命安全，人格、风骨和尊严都不值一提。从公认的"铁汉"到公开的"投降"，潘光旦完全像换了一个人似的，由此我想到了哈耶克的《通向奴役之路》，由此我想到了教育学中所说的成长环境。在一个极不健全家庭中长大的孩子，他们的人格也会极不健全。养成知识分子铮铮铁骨需要特殊的外部条件，如果有风骨的人被剥夺了生存权利，如果说真话的人会掉脑袋，谁还有什么风骨?谁还敢说真话?我决没有嘲笑潘光旦先生的意思，更没有嘲笑潘光旦先生的资格，如果我处在潘光旦先生同样的环境中，我肯定比潘光旦先生更早地举起了白旗。
别提什么"宁为玉碎，不为瓦全"的警句，别说什么"宁可站着死，绝不跪着生"的格言，当你自己可能坐牢掉脑袋，当你的家人可能被牵连，这些格言统统都会抛向九霄云外，除了极少数人可能宁折不弯，大多数人的第一需求就是生存需求，在文化大革命那种残酷荒唐的岁月，潘光旦先生以"Submit(屈从)"来求"Survive(生存)"，并不奇怪，更不丢人。民国时期之所以那么多人敢骂蒋介石，是因为多数人骂了蒋介石没有多大的风险——由于能骂，所以敢骂。
把潘光旦这样的一条硬汉，活活给整得求生不得求死不能，我不知道这是国家的胜利，还是我们民族的悲哀。如果一个国家不能容忍一条硬汉，举世全是阿谀奉承吹牛拍马的喽罗，怎么能宣称"中国人民从此站起来了"呢?
摧毁一条硬汉的人格和尊严，可能就摧毁了一个民族的人格和尊严，这是极端的无耻和可怕的犯罪!
如果一个国家把所有人的脊梁全都抽掉，如果一个国家里大部分人都是奴才，如果一个国家所有人只懂得"听话"，如果一个国家所有人只知道磕头谢恩，我不明白这叫什么"盛世"?我更看不出这叫什么"英明"?
